About the Course
B.E. CSE (Cyber Security) is a 4-year undergraduate engineering
degree that combines the core subjects of Computer Science Engineering with specialized
cyber security subjects such as ethical hacking, cryptography, digital forensics,
network security, malware analysis, cloud security, and cyber law. Most universities
follow an 8-semester structure.
This course include 80–90% regular CSE subjects and 10–20% cyber security specialization
subjects, so graduates can still apply for software engineering, data, cloud, and cyber
security jobs. This is also reflected in student discussions and university curricula.
About the Department
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) is dedicated to
providing quality education and training in the field of computer science with a
specialized focus on cyber security. The department aims to develop skilled
professionals capable of protecting digital systems, networks, and data from cyber
threats. The program combines strong foundations in computer science with advanced
knowledge in information security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cryptography, and
network security.
Departmental Strengths include:
- Specialized Cyber Security Program with a curriculum focused on information
security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, cryptography, and network security.
- Dedicated Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking Labs for practical training in
vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, and security analysis.
- Industry-Oriented Curriculum designed to meet current industry requirements
and emerging cyber security challenges.
- Research and Innovation Culture encouraging students and faculty to
undertake research projects, publish papers, and develop innovative security
solutions.
- Industry Collaboration and Expert Interaction through guest lectures,
workshops, seminars, and industrial visits.
About the Curriculum
